Follow BR-040 Road
(Rio - Juiz de Fora) until reaching Km 47.
Turn right on a
narrow exit just after a Road Signal that says "Pedagio a 500 metros".
Besides that one,
there´s another Road Signal, in yellow, that says " Acesso proibido a
onibus e caminhões" (which means "Access forbiden for buses and
trucks").
This is a very narrow
exit allowed only for cars (see the picture above).
Go through the narrow
road, cross a bridge and turn left. Now, you are on União e Indústria
Road. Follow until reaching km 87 (it´s only a short 4 km drive!).
There, pay attention and turn right on a steep road where there´s a
large signal saying "Circuitos Pedras do Taquaril" (see the picture
above).
Afterwards, just
follow the Pousada Paraíso signals. It’s 3.5Km up to the hill.

COMING FROM SÃO PAULO
CITY |
· From São Paulo City, head to Volta Redonda.
· From Volta Redonda, head to Três Rios.
· Pass through Barra do Piraí, Vassouras, Paraíba do Sul, Três Rios.
· Reaching Três Rios, take the BR 040 Road, towards Rio de Janeiro City .
· Follow the BR 040 road until the Areal exit. You will be entering on
União e Indústria Road.
· On União e Indústria Road, take the direction to Rio de Janeiro City or
Petrópolis City Center. Pass through Areal and Posse.
· After passing Posse Center, leave the União e Indústria Road at the 87
Km.
· At the 87 Km, pay attention and turn left on a steep road where there´s
a large signal saying "Circuitos Pedras do Taquaril".
You will take a 3,5 km stretch of unpaved road up to Pousada Paraiso.
