Jequitiba Trail

This enchanted trail takes near 4 hours to complete and requires a little more effort than the others. Good tenis shoes or proper boots, water and a wood stick are a must to follow this trail.

Pousada Paraiso is 1.000 meters high from sea level and when you get to the end of this trail youīll be at 1.400 meter high...imagine what a nice view we have from there.

Every step you take worths the effort. Lots of Samambaias, birds follow us (if we walk in silence), Jacus families (a big black bird thatīs been, unfortunatelly, hunted ) come to visit us during the walk, etc...

Itīs very easy to find clean water to drink and, during rain season, even a small river is formed on the way.

Trees are higher then those on Cipó Trail. One of them gave the name to this trail a huge Jequitiba (say jay-key-tea-bah)...we guess itīs 40 meters high.

This trail is the one for Nature Lovers!
